Job Description

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct baseline survey for project development;

  • Provide technical supervision and support to the partners for health project activities;

  • Manage key steps of project management cycles, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and documentation of the projects;

  • Work with relevant stakeholders at different levels both internally and externally to ensure the project activities will be implemented effectively according to the approved proposal, which are relevant and in alignment with ASIF Foundation program priorities;

  • Promote the community ownership through the implementation of project activities with community/partner engagement to ensure project sustainability;

  • Conduct and facilitate training, workshops, etc. in project areas for community and partnering organizations as planned;

  • Regular report to the PD about progress, effectiveness of the projects as well as difficulties and challenges for timely support;

  • Ensure the effectiveness and transparency of the funding transferred to partners for project implementation;

  • Document and share project outcomes internally and externally for lesson learnt and replication;

  • Propose new ideas for project development and implementation;

  • Participate in evaluation of result and outcome of the project;

  • Other tasks as requested by your line manager.

Requirements

Selection Criteria and Qualifications 

  • University graduate (post-graduate degree is an advantage) in Social Works, Healthcare, or a related field; Medical doctor or public health specialist preferable.

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in leadership and management positions, preferably in the NGO circle. Experience in primary health care and general practice program implementation, resource mobilization and participatory approach is an advantage;

  • Knowledge and experience in capacity building for local stakeholders/partners; Demonstrated skills and experience in working with government, private sector and NGO/NPO in Vietnamese context;

  • Excellent presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills;

  • Excellent proposal and report writing skills;

  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision, exercise judgment, meet deadlines and work under pressure;

  • Well-organized and able to handle multiple tasks;

  • Building and promoting partnerships across the Organization and beyond;

  • Ability to travel frequently to project sites.

  • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize between many competing tasks;

  • Sensitive to needs of marginalized population and people with disabilities;

  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work effectively in a complex local environment. Communicating in a credible and effective way;

  • Fluency in English and Vietnamese, both verbally and in writing;

  • Computer literate and effective abilities in Word, PowerPoint, Excel;

  • Highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously and take initiative;

  • Commitment to ASIF Foundation’s core values and strategic direction.
