On May 31st, 39 new wells were opened by ASIF Foundation and Red Cross of Gia Lai province in Kenh Village, la Phi Commune, Chu Pah district, Gia Lai Province.

In the early morning, the cultural house of Kenh village was full of local people waiting for the first major event in the village. Being known as a big event, because it includes many delegates and officers from all over the country. Moreover, the ceremony officially opened the new well-funded by ASIF in the Kenh village.

The stage of the event before the start

In particular, the inhabitants of the Kenh village met H’Hen Nie - Miss Universe Viet Nam 2017. Instead of wearing expensive dresses, H’Hen Nie chose a simple white T-shirt and a brocade weaving of the Ede ethnic minority. It is no exaggeration to call her the friendliestmiss in Viet Nam. Benevolent Ambassador – Miss H’Hen Nie joined in a Xoang dance – a traditional community dance of the Central Highland – with relatives in the village.

In the ceremony, Mr. Tran Vu Minh Hai – Chief Executive Officer of ASIF Viet Nam said: “For the people of the Central Highland, the most important issue is clean water. For children, they have to spend all day collecting water without having time to study. For women, water collection prevents their working, it is dirty water though. Lack of drinking water affects negatively the health and the growth of the whole family”.

We believe that creating a clean water source for local people to access easily will make a difference in the lives of the people. We appreciate the strong support of the donors, especially the Red Star Entrepreneur Club and the local Young Entrepreneur Associate.
