ASIF Foundation accepts Certificate of Recognition from HUFO

Yesterday, 24 February the ASIF Foundation was honorably awarded with Recognition Certificate given by HUFO (Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organization) at the HUFO-hosted annual conference with foreign NGOs 2023.


The event takes place annually as an opportunity for governmental agencies to meet and strengthen partnerships with foreign NGOs. This year, the ASIF Foundation was honored and recognized by HUFO for its contributions toward humanitarian activities in Ho Chi Minh city in 2022. The recognition adds to the momentum of the journey of ASIF Foundation to serve communities.

“Selection criteria are based on effectiveness, expenditures, compliance with the laws of Vietnam, partnerships with Vietnam-based partners, etc.” said Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hong Diem – Vice Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations (HUFO).

Giving the X-ray radiography machine built-in with AI technology to improve healthcare services for the people of Thanh An island in November 2022 was one of the milestones of the ASIF Foundation as an organization for innovation. The project contributed positively and effectively towards the humanitarian activities of Ho Chi Minh City.


Previously, on 23 February 2023, at the 2022 Vietnam Award Ceremony for Medical Achievement titled “For the good of public health”, the AI-based solution X-ray radiography machine by Tran Dang Minh Tri, Vice Chairman of the ASIF Foundation that was given to serve the people of Thanh An commune was honored among the 10 prominent medical achievements in 2022 organized by the Health Department of Ho Chi Minh City and Voice of Ho Chi Minh City (VOH). The award recognizes individuals and organizations for their contributions towards the public good.

The project “Giving AI in-built X-ray radiography machine” funded by the ASIF Foundation together with new medical solution developed by Tran Dang Minh Tri and his team are proof of the commitment of ASIF – that we are dedicated to creating systemic changes in areas of water & sanitation, healthcare, education, poverty reduction and climate change to improve life quality for the community and contribute toward sustainable development in Vietnam.


About the Project “Giving AI in-built X-ray radiography machine” to improve medical services for local residents of Thanh An commune:

On 18 November 2022, the ASIF Foundation delivered a new AI in-built first-generation X-ray radiography machine to the local residents of Thanh An commune, Can Gio district. The equipment is expected to support local doctors in providing healthcare services, enabling medical staff to improve their abilities to diagnose accurately, and reducing patient intake overload at facilities at higher levels. The equipment handover was organized by the People’s Committee of Can Gio district in the presence of leaders from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, Can Gio Medical Centre, ASIF Foundation and the Annalise.AI Artificial Intelligence Ltd. Company. Mr. Tran Dang Minh Tri and Tran Dang Dinh Ang are the developers of the AI software (Annalise CXR Edge) built in the X-ray radiography machine supporting chest screening works.
